Town and District Transport Trust have a superb collection of historic vehicles of all ages. We do not confine ourselves to one manner of transport, we have a vast display of Buses, Classic Cars and bygone emergency vehicles! Due to the age and condition of a majority of the collection, many are now currently under restoration and can be found exhibited within our preservation facility. One of the Vehicles date back as early as 1939, and has links to Adolf Hitler himself! Steeped in History , and with an expansive collection on display, we are open to the public to share with you this invaluable educational step back in time.
Founded in 2018, Town & District Transport Trust has become a popular growing bus preservation group in the north of England.
We are a registered charity which preserves the transport heritage of Lancashire and the surrounding areas. Our main aim is to educate and inspire visitors, giving them an authentic experience whilst they explore the trusts collection & take a look what travel was like in years gone by.
Led by a voluntary board of Trustees and volunteers that take their time out of their full time jobs, we are also very dependent on the commitment, time, and energy of its volunteers who bring many years of experience and skills to the team. We like to be proactive and get restoration completed swiftly to attend shows & community events.
